Matthew Sinclair

For over 15 years, Matthew has worked in the nonprofit field focusing primarily on at-risk populations. He is currently pursuing his PhD in Urban and Public Administration and has an extensive background in organizational development, administrative leadership, program design, data management systems, and grant administration.
Matthew is the Program Coordinator for The Phoenix - DFW, a nonprofit organization whose “mission is to build a sober active community that fuels resilience and harnesses the transformational power of connection so that together we rise, recover, and live”.
In this role, Matthew works to provide strategic program implementation of sober, active communities in the greater Tarrant County area to support individuals in substance use recovery through wide array of events and activities; develop programmatic collaborations with extensive network of partner organizations, including nonprofit, governmental/public, private, foundation, to create deeper impact in the substance use/ recovery sector; coordinate all Tarrant County activity creation, preparation, and implementation through utilization of both internal and external resources, combined with utilization of volunteers and community partners, to ensure broad-based and impactful offerings for community; execute quality improvement measures to provide high levels of participant services throughout all facets of program provision, through data measurement, focused communication and coordinated strategic review; and engage in multi-level resource development initiatives as member of both local and national fundraising campaigns.
Before his work with The Phoenix, Matthew spent 13 years in various capacities at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Great Tarrant County. His experience with the organization includes Vice President of Branches, Director of Branch Operations, Branch Director, Comin’ Up Gang Intervention Coordinator, and Gang Prevention Coordinator.
